The fourth generation of iPad Air is a line of iPad tablet computers developed by Apple Inc. The fourth installment in the iPad Air lineup, it was introduced by Apple CEO Tim Cook on September 15, 2020.[1] It was released on October 23, 2020.

The fourth generation of iPad Air uses an Apple A14 Bionic chip, which comprises 11.9 billion transistors that is capable of processing heavy scales of content with a small cost of battery life. The A14 Bionic also features a 40% faster 60-core CPU, a 30% faster GPU, and an embedded Neural Engine. The Neural Engine is capable of handling over 11 trillion operations per second, and it takes advantages of the Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence technology.[1]
Its 10.9-inch Liquid Retina Screen display have a resolution of 2360 by 1640 pixels (3.8 million pixels). The display's features included Pure Lamination, Wide Color, True Tone, and Reflective Coating. Apple re-integrated the Touch ID fingerprint recognition biometric authentication to replace its facial counterpart, the Face ID due to the Face ID's inaccurate recognition to mask-wearing users in the Covid-19 isolation pandemic.[1]
It have an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and several USB-C ports; the USB-C ports transferring a maximum of 5 giblets of data per second.[1] Its front 7-megapixel Facetime Camera is of 1080p and 60 fps, while its 12-megapixel webcam features 8 aperture, 4k, 60fps, and the new video stabilization feature. Its audio features Stereo audio effect in landscape mode. It is available in rose gold, green, sky blue, white, and black, It uses recycled materials and authorized components from the non-profit National Forest Organization.[1]
